What’s better than sleepy puppies and a never-ending pack of Tim Tams, you ask? Nothing. Obviously. But these pretty newbies come pretty darn close…
Face of Australia Limited Edition Lumi-Tint Illuminating Sticks
If Face of Australia has always flown under your beauty radar, now’s the perfect time to get re-acquainted with this awesome (and affordable!) Aussie beauty brand. They’ve always managed to formulate super impressive illuminators, and their new limited edition Lumi-Tint, $12.95, from Priceline, is no exception. Specially formulated with light-reflecting pearls and jojoba oil, these creamy delights (which are available in four gorgeous shades) glide smoothly over skin to create stunning shimmery highlights. Use them on your cheekbones, brow bones, temples and cupid’s bow for a sensual shimmer, or you can even use them as a blush or contour depending on your skin tone. My personal fave is the shimmer-tastic shade ‘When In Rome’, the perfect silvery-champagne highlighter.
Maybelline New York Dream Wonder Foundation
If you’ve always wanted a foundation that feels completely weightless, you’re going to love Maybelline’s new Dream Wonder Foundation, $21.95, available from supermarkets and pharmacies from February. It makes your mug look impeccable, yet feels totally undetectable on thanks to it’s liquid solvent base that’s 12 times lighter than traditional textures. It also has a cool dropper applicator too, so you can get a precise amount of product with no wastage. Brilliant!
Benefit Puff Off
If you’ve ever found yourself wishing you could just iron away those puffy bags under your eyes like they were a pile of creased linen, then you’re gonna love Benefit’s clever newbie Puff Off, $44, from Myer, an innovative undereye gel that’s here to tell those bags and creases to rack off. It contains a special peptide blend and light-diffusing particles that help reduce the look of puffiness and smooth away the appearance of fine lines, too. Just apply it using the cute lil’ iron-shaped tip in the A.M to tackle even the most serious of undereye situations, and then touch up over your makeup throughout the day as needed.
Burt’s Bees new Facial Cleansing Towelettes
We LOVE a cleansing wipe here at PRIMPED HQ. They’re the lazy girl’s alternative to face washing, and perfect for those nights (or mornings) when you just don’t have the time or energy to do your daily double cleanse. Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes in Pink Grapefruit and Cucumber & Sage, $9.95 each, from Myer, make cleansing and toning a quick (and deliciously-scented!) experience and they’re so gentle on skin you don’t even need to rinse afterwards. The Pink Grapefruit wipes are perfect for peeps with oily skin and they help whisk away pore-clogging dirt, oil and makeup for naturally clean skin with no residue, while the Cucumber & Sage wipes are best for normal to dry skin and cleanse skin while soothing at the same time.
